Agreed, Mccort should have won, just had a bad game at the wrong time. May have been looking ahead to Bellwood in the next round which would have been a bad bracket matchup for those 2 powerhouses while Blairsville and Penns valley had better draws.

I disagree. D6 has 4 powers and on any given night, the seeds could have been different. Penns Manor faced their test in the first round and upset Camp Hill. McCort, Blairsville, and Bellwood all had easier games and faced their tests in the second round. Blairsville beat Vincentian who was #1 in the WPIAL, you call that an easier route? Bellwood beat West Middlesex, who lost their best player, an all-stater, in the second round. That may have been a different game if WM had her... guess we will never know! McCort who was the 6-1...had Charters-Houston who was #2 in the WPIAL. This team features a 6'1" D1 player. If anyone has the lineup to match that kind of player, it is McCort, but they didn't, however Bellwood did! At some point, two teams have to meet each other in the western finals. It is good to see two teams from D6 face each other than a team from another district. Quite honestly, I am glad it is not a Catholic school. Furthermore, Penns Manor the 6-4 seed upset two teams, Camp Hill and Minersville and they now are playing in the Eastern Finals. So, we have 3 out of the 4 D-6 teams competing! You don't get to say who has a better draw when all 4 teams met challenges early on! 3 rose to the occasion and 1 did not! Its March madness, didn't Virginia have a better draw? How about Arizona?
