Some good games tonight. Kentucky holds off Vanderbilt in OT. Clemson gets their first win vs UNC in 10 years. Tar Heels get 32 from Cam Johnson and 27 from Joel Berry but only 4 from Luke Maye. Oklahoma a 98-96 winner over Baylor. Sooners get 44 & 9 from Trae Young. Top to bottom I think the Big 12 may be the most competitive conference in college basketball.

Nits had a chance at their 2nd big road upset but let it get away. Up by as many as 15 PSU falls to #5 Michigan St. 76-68.

Only ranked team to fall tonight was #15 WVU who lost by 16 to unranked Iowa State. That's 3 losses in a row for WVU.

St. John's does it again! Just four days after beating Duke the Red Storm goes on the road and knocks off #1 Villanova 79-75 for their first conference win!

#3 Purdue also loses at home tonight to #14 Ohio St. 64-63.

#8 Auburn is the third top 10 team to lose on their home court tonight falling 81-80 to Texas A&M.

PSU picked up the 74-70 win over Maryland and is now 7-6 in the B1G and 17-9 overall. Next up for the Nits is a very winnable game at Illinois on Sunday.

Virginia will now be the #1 team.  Cool thing about UVA. they are actually the slowest team in the country.  Ranked #351 out 351 teams. People always insisted Pitt was too slow to play in the ACC, and my response was always....UVA plays slower and more physical than Pitt ever did and they are having tons of success. Another season....another good UVA team in the ACC.

Saw Channel 6 sports at 6 tonight. Entire segment was about Penn State football and basketball. (What else is new). Guess they're talking tournament team in B-Ball at Happy Valley. Big 4 games coming up, two at home, two away. Be interesting how things turn out.

Notre Dame/UNC right now. It's funny, I thought in November they looked like an Elite 8 team after watching them take down Wichita State. Next thing you know, their best player (Bonzie Colson) goes down and they won't even make the tournament now most likely.

Crimson, saw ur tweet about the Big 12 and I've been all over the place with that conference this year. I don't think they have a great team but I think top to bottom they are the most competitive league. Which means they may get 8 or 9 teams in the tournament but none may reach the elite 8. Take last Saturday for example...3 of the top 4 teams Kansas, WVU and Oklahoma all lost to 3 of the 4 bottom teams OK St., Baylor and Iowa State. Hard to figure them out.

Don't be shocked if last place Iowa St. takes down #13 Kansas tonight.

Texas Tech defeats Oklahoma tonight, and the Sooners are heading in the absolute wrong direction. They are now below .500 in Big 12 play. Oklahoma has lost four in a row, and five of six.

Trae Young is a great talent, but ESPN really overhyped the kid and it's unraveling a bit. OU was never that good, they were just riding the Trae Young wave.
