Wilson is a goon. Watch the clip. He leads with the shoulder, and raises up to get his shoulder to Dumoulin's head.
If he's not suspended for At Least 1 game, then the NHL is demonstrating that they are just paying lip service to Player Safety. This is the very thing they profess to want to eliminate.

So, the NHL explanation as to why Wilson wasn't Suspended for the hit on Dumoulin:

Was the head hit? Yes
Was it avoidable? No (bullcrap, he aimed, and launched upward)

Can't wait to hear the same questions, and answers, regarding the Wilson hit on Aston-Reese:

Was the head hit? Yes
Was it avoidable? YES (unless you figure Wilson had his eyes closed, but he had to have them open, as he LAUNCHED upward at Just The Right Time.).

Stinking Goon.

Absolutely, but being scored against in the last minute or so of the game just seemed inevitable. I went to bed after 'losing my religion' a couple times.

Yes, the late goal was bad. Maata threw it into a bad spot, but Maata should've been right there to stop the rush...why wasn't he you ask? Because Goon 3x Wilson Sandwich Man came over and did the ole Marchand like swipe tripping Maata and taking him out of the play...but the Pens always get the calls.
If only closed minds came with closed mouths

I really don't like the direction the series is going.  The past 2 years, the Penguins had very thick skin and put big (cheap) hits behind them a shift later.  Wilson's hit rattled the Penguins and still has them talking about it postgame.  It definitely got the Penguins off their game and for that Wilson did his job.  Now it is time for the NHL to do their job.  This guy has been suspended twice and fined another time already this season.  A "repeat offender" shouldn't ever get a 1 game suspension, IMO.  I am thinking he should get 2 or even 3 games.  This is his 4th punishable hit since October.  Heck this guy got suspended twice for cheap hits in PRESEASON hockey games.  I guess the preseason is a time for everyone to get their game into form, including the goons.  If the league gave him the benefit of doubt after game 2, they surely can't give him the benefit of doubt again after game 3.  The Penguins have been great during their last 9 playoff series at using circumstances like this to rally and play a great game.  They need to do that Thursday.

That tripping call was no where near as bad as the one missed in the flyers series.... Watching it live it didnt seem to be a trip, but instead just a really bad turnover late

Except that tripping in the Flyers series wasn't, you know - tripping.
Rule 91 - Tripping
(NOTE 2) If, in the opinion of the Referee, a player is unquestionably hook-checking the puck and obtains possession of it, thereby tripping the puck carrier, no penalty shall be imposed.
Tom Wilson is a goon, and needs to suspended.  I was ok with no suspension on the Dumolin hit, because Dumolin definitely changed direction.  Could have been lower on the body, but it is what it is.  However, the hit on ZAR was unquestionably illegal, unquestionably dirty, should have been a power play, and warrants a suspension for a repeat offender.  AND..... The Capitals scored a goal in the next 2 minutes after the hit, which likely wouldn't have happened if the Penguins were on a PP.  No doubt that hit, and the non-call, changed the outcome of Game 3.

I love how Flyers fans have convinced themselves that they were just a victim of poor officiating in round 1.  Let's recap: You gave up 28 goals in 6 games, outscored by 17 goals during that period, your star player had 1 goal in 6 games, and you played 3 goalies.  I don't think officiating was anywhere near the top of your concerns.
