Heard from a Glendale parent that Claysburg used an ineligible player that game.

How would the PIAA or Glendale find something like that out?

What would make player ineligible? Area lived? Grades? Not undergoing heat acclimation?

I know at some schools, teachers are required to report academic eligibility every week to administration. Maybe someone fell through the cracks and it didn't get caught until afterwards. I would guess that when it was found out Claysburg self reported..maybe?

I heard McCort used an ineligible player the first game of the year? I haven't seen or heard anything since though. Can anyone confirm this or was it just a bunch of bs?

Well there was a bit of confusion from what I heard. It was the backup kicker.  He did a couple kickoffs in the second half of the first game.

The issue got resolved. There were concerns the kid was a transfer since he went through heat acclimation with his prior school and then went to McCort, but it was ruled he wasn't actually a transfer since he's only a freshman and never attended high school there.

A few years ago United had to forfeit games because of an ineligible player. It had to do with number of years an individual is eligible.  When Penns Manor found out about it, they realized they had the same situation.  They turned themselves in and forfeited I believe 2 wins. This was prior to the big turnaround.

That was huge at penns manor... Pretty sure it took away a chance at a playoff spot a good bit before their current streak.
Though it looks like penns manor might miss the playoffs for the first time in 10 years now?
