Re: D6 Class A Championship
United was picked by many to finish 2nd in the Heritage this year. Great QB, big line, and a good running back. They came out of the gate playing very poorly. Why? I don't know. But they have righted the ship and are the team that many believed they should have been. Never saw JV play so I can...

Re: interesting article in somerset paper
Ligonier's Offensive and Defensive lines are very, very good. There were no teams in the Heritage, including the big lines from Northern Cambria and United, who could even pretend to be successful against their fronts. And to add. The idea of a forfeit or not playing your starters is ridiculous....

Re: Saltsburg forfeit
Look. Saltsburg had 19 kids dress for the Blairsville game. They lost two kids to minor injuries in that game. I believe that those two kids played in their next game. Their AD stated after the Ligonier game in 2017 that they would not play Ligonier in 2018. In fact, according to the Indiana Ga...

Re: Saltsburg forfeit
Didn't know that. Good for LV and good for Blairsville for accepting the invitation to play.

Re: Saltsburg forfeit
Blairsville or LV reached out and agreed to play a JV game this past Saturday morning. At least both school's JVs got to have a game.

Re: Saltsburg forfeit
They have enough players to play the game and I'm betting that they will be on the field next week. From what I heard they chose not to play this game last year.

Re: Low Numbers
In addition to some very good points made, burnout may also be a factor. Many kids around here start tackle football in 2nd grade. Serra High School in San Mateo CA, has a flag football program until 7th or 8th grade. Think Tom Brady, Lynn Swann and Barry Bonds - all Serra graduates. Their philosoph...

Re: Scrimmages?
My bad. Apologies to Somerset. When I walked in I asked who was in orange and was told somerset. I sat on Johnstown side and only talked to the Johnstown mother sitting beside me who also thought it was Somerset. Any way Blairsville might be OK in single a but was way over matched today. Yes. ...

Re: Homer-Center vs. Jeannette
I posted it on the other board but with the Jayhawks, its not only the athletes overall. Ot is thee athlete. For years they take their best athlete, not even speaking of pryor, and get him accurate enough on passes. Demetrious cox (NFL camp)/ Julian Batts (D1 point guard LIU) and now Kennedy. They...
