Re: Week 8 Scores....

Point Stadium one sided.  Windber used to have visitor bleachers.  CC & CH might as well not have visitor bleachers. Unless something is changed this year, both CC, and CH have Visitor bleachers. I believe the only place in the LHAC that has bleachers only behind the home team bench, is the Poi...

Re: Week 8 Scores....

NC had a fan ejected! Lol Sounds like it was a hoot.... I'm guessing that NC fan sat near the whining, yapping loudmouth I referred to in another thread. But,.....he forgot to pray his guts out for patience, and control of his tongue. A modest set of bleachers on the Visitor side woulda probably av...

Checked radar.

Rain won't arrive, until after the game is over.

Re: Field Conditions

A team that only runs up the middle. Does a team like that even exist nowadays? Let's say one does. They're either blessed with 5 stud linemen, all 6'2", 275#, and it doesn't matter what field they play on. Or,...they've got your average 5'9", 165# linemen, and they spend Thursdays prayin...

Re: Field Conditions

This is true.......to an extent. I think it largely depends on the strengths of each team. If a team who relies on speed, backs who can cut, quick passes, spread type offenses will not be as efficient as a team that runs 60 times a game. The speedy team may be the better team but will not play as o...

Re: Field Conditions

I've only been to Weller Field once, in 2012. I hope to not return, for only 1 reason. Bleachers only on the Home side of the field.... Having Home/Visitor fans intermingled during the game,...not a knee-slapping good time. Fans yell stuff about the other team at Every game. But, if you're sitting o...

Re: Field Conditions

Understood. And thus, "on any given night..." Field conditions are just 1 variable (if only it hadn't rained), as are injuries (if only Johnny hadn't torn his ACL), and turnovers (if only we hadn't fumbled 4 times), etc. Some teams Do deal with adversity, and changing conditions, better th...

Re: Field Conditions

Something interesting I've noticed, over the years: A lot of teams that play on a muddy field, and lose,....can't grasp the reality that, the team that won,...played on the same field. Odd how that works out. This is true.......to an extent. I think it largely depends on the strengths of each team....
