Crimson Ghost " But at the end of the day if you are in a conference 90% of your scheduling is handled. You are scheduling referees for home games and coordinating travel and picking up a few non-co...

Re: United’s Kyle Silk moves to Ligonier Valley

Regarding the multi sport--now favorite in basketball comment posted earlier.   I can buy that in the Heritage Conference but I can't imagine any scenario whereby he will be, as a SR transfer, granted eligibility under the current rules for the playoffs so I don't think it changes a thing in 6-AAA P...

Re: Saturday Scoreboard 2-23-19

Get over what you "wish" ..... it is the way it is based on proportional representation formula and yes, incidents like you pointed out (Central on paper much more deserving that Bedford or Westinghouse) Or I pointed out in my example are just part of the way it goes when proportional stre...

Yeah wish the D5 teams would play with D6 in 4A and they would take 2 to states. Would have been a shame had Huntingdon got sent home with 1 loss. Meanwhile a 12 loss Bedford team beats a 17 lo...

Re: District 5 Class A Playoffs

Don't be shocked if Shade-Berlin comes East to Chestnut Ridge with Somerset playing (at Bedford) Windber playing (at N.Star) and North Star and Conemaugh Twp. also hosting games.        Also SF/Shanksville almost has to go to Everett .

Re: District 5 Class A Playoffs

Shanksville and Berlin do NOT host these games.  they will go to neutral sites for the semifinals.  D5 permits higher seeds to host just one playoff game before going to neutral floors.

Re: Christmas Tournaments

Best Johnstown team ever was undoubtedly in my mind the 1973 team.  Won the prestigous War Memorial Tournament, undefeated regular season and shocking upset to Sharon enroute to what many thought would be a state championship.   6'6" Don Maser (Duquesne), 6'9" Pat Cummings (Cincinnati and ...

Re: Bald Eagle vs Bedford

Bedford vs BEA is At Windber

not a certainty but strong educated guess is CR vs Wilmington at Slippery Rock HS or Univ.
