Re: Wrestling disappearing in small schools ?
Hard times make hard men...hard men make easy times...easy times make easy men...easy men make hard times. Our society, right now, no longer values effort above outcome. Everybody, parents and players alike, want instant success. We all know that there are exceptions to this, as we still see kids w...

Re: McCort Wrestling
I'm curious as to why the LHAC wouldn't have created a schedule for them. Hasn't McCort had the program back for a few years now?

Re: McCort Wrestling
Why does McCort get to "opt out" of a dual season? If they're in the conference, shouldn't they have to wrestle a conference schedule like any other team, or do they get to wait until they have a loaded lineup? If that's the case, why don't other schools with low numbers just wrestle tourn...

Re: McCort Wrestling
Bassett, who is a teacher in the Greater Johnstown School District, said he had no desire to coach at the high school level. The above appeared in the Tribune Democrat after the current Bishop McCort coach was fired as junior high coach at Forest Hills. Perhaps Bishop McCort should have hired someo...

Re: McCort Wrestling
The most ironic thing about this whole situation is that 95% of the kids were already at Forest Hills. The All-Star team was already there and approved by the District/PIAA for competition. This is a situation were you have a selfish, egomaniac dad who wants to see his name in the headlines for bein...

Re: FAIR or UNFAIR advantage?
I agree that there were probably some ill feelings due to the ending of the co-op, but the heart of the issue was absolutely the open border rule considering McCort had wrestlers coming from Indiana, Bedford, United, Johnstown, Ferndale, and Westmont. The point of my post was that ND-GP and other ca...

Re: FAIR or UNFAIR advantage?
I don't believe Westmont actually sent any girls out. They may have weighed them in, but I don't think they took the mat. That being said, ND-GP is exploiting the open border thing to the extreme. How is it fair that they can have kids from New York, New Jersey, and Delaware competing in the PENNSYL...

Re: Next Crusher Coach
I noticed a familiar face facilitating the Blended Academy. Are we going to see the next influx of wrestlers via this new platform? Will the Osborne Street Mat Club be resurrected?

Re: Ridge vs Forest Hills predictions?
Ridge will have a pretty good draw. Reynolds (10-1), Notre Dame-Green Pond (11-1), Burrell (7-1), the D-6 champ and Saucon Valley (11-2) will all be in the bottom bracket. They'll have a likely date with Southern Columbia (4-1) in the semis seeing that they get past a potential rematch with Westmont...

Re: 2019 KOM first day, second day results sources
Looking at the lineups, CR looks like the team to beat in the LHAC. Westmont is solid throughout the lineup, but I’d give the nod to Ridge. That dual will be a good one! FH will have more state qualifiers and place winners, but they have too many holes in the lineup for a team title. In D6, Glendale...
