Re: The Truth Behind The Chesnut Ridge Program

Good one, D-nice. But that kid from Bedford who can ride a four wheeler and chew snuff at the same time could surely kick your tail. With his shotgun in hand, he'd have you running back to the WPIAL in no time.

Re: speed lacking in the laurel highlands

In context with some of the LHAC speedsters from the past several years (i.e. the likes of D. Harris, T. Harris, Marshall, Kanuch, Hawkins, Lewis, et al), how fast are these current guys. I think there might be something to the statement that this is a slightly down year for the LHAC in terms of sta...

Re: Bedford, Ridge, Windber Meet

It makes sense that he should sit out if he's not 100% and could risk going to Maine injured, potentially falling in the depth charts before he even gets a chance to set foot on the field. Again, I'm sure he probably would love to compete this season. That's just how Derrick is; he's a competitor. I...

Re: PIRATES- another losing season

Of course 0-1 isn't a lost season. But 0-4,5, and 6 is really tough for a team like this Pirate team to overcome.

Also, believe me just because I'm debating this doesn't mean I've already lost hope for the Bucs. As I said in a previous post, these Pirates have an actual chance at being competitive.

Re: PIRATES- another losing season

A few points to make: 1) The 1974 Pirates team was headlined by future Hall of Famer Willie Stargell. 2) That team was only 3 season removed from a World Series Championship and had also won 2 division titles to go along with that World Series crown from 1970-1974. So there was reason to believe tha...

Re: PIRATES- another losing season

At first that might sound like a ridiculous statement but think about it a little more and it's really not. The Bucs 0-6 start got the fans talking again, and they weren't talking about the early season positives. Thoughts like "this again?" ,"I thought they'd at least be decent this ...

Re: PIRATES- another losing season

What a performance by the Bucs tonight. Yet again the starting pitcher struggles a bit, but the bats came to play-- 4 homers and a Seth Duffy triple. The Bucs are now tied with the Reds for most homers in the NL. The Wilsons, Craig and Jack, have been on tears lately. Craig has 3 homers in his last ...
