Re: District 5 AA Champs = Losing Record
Sorry youngbuck. Excuse me for responding to the topic (District 5 AA Champs= Losing Record) with a comment about how to increase AA representation in District 5. I should have known that when you started this thread, you wanted everyone to talk about District 6 Single A.

Re: District 5 AA Champs = Losing Record
As hoganddog pointed out, if District 6 wants to reduce its number of AA schools by one, the easy answer is to let Somerset go back to District 5, which is it's "Home District" based on geography. Somerset has been in District 6 for many years because it was always AAA. Now that it is AA, ...

Re: LHAC realignment
Graduation numbers are different from the PIAA classification numbers. PIAA looks at students of a specific gender, grades 9 thru 11, to establish a classification for 2 years in a gender-specific sport. Graduation includes both genders of only one class. Ridge had a 'spike" in student populati...

Re: LHAC realignment
Bedford and Somerset are kind of in the same boat regarding rivalries. They are both the only LHAC team in their county, and both are located in the county seat. In both cases, their natural geographic rivals tend to be single A schools in small school conferences, so there is little chance to compe...

Re: Most career wins
The topic doesn't say "active" coaches, so we should add Jerry Page and Frank Kravetski. I don't know the exact numbers, but both had over 200 wins in their careers.

Re: Walk in the park
Congratulations to Bedford on a great team effort. Re: FAT MAN RELAY!!!!!
"They don't practice . . . they just throw stuff around" is an awfully narrow view of the throws. If you are a thrower, by definition, much of your practice time is going to be spent "throwing stuff around." There are very specific techniques that must be learned and then totally...

Re: Proposed 6 Classifications?
This was my post from an earlier iteration of this subject. If you look at how things break out, the idea of creating conferences in Districts 5 & 6 that are virtually all the same classification (without a huge amount of travel) becomes somewhat realistic. For example: In "3A West," t...
