Re: College Hoops

Maybe, I heard Stewart and Carr may have been leaving either way. Ellison still may return.

Either way, Capel's first recruit is a very good one.

Alli Campbell - Class AA State Player of the Year

Bellwood-Antis star Alli Campbell has been named the Class AA state player of the year in the state of Pennsylvania.

Plenty of District 5 and 6 girls on the all-state teams.

Re: College Hoops

Capel seems to be aiming high with who he is offering to this point. A lot of 4 and 5 Star types.  Landing one was a good start for him.  I think he can get them back to respectability soon.

Re: College Hoops

Pitt just landed #80 recruit in the country, Trey McGowens 4 star PG. Pitt's first top 100 recruit since 2014 (Michael Young). Not a bad first get for Jeff Capel.

Re: Coaching Changes

That wasn't exactly the point whether Ligonier had their football players playing or not, the point was Purchase Line beating McCort didn't really validate the entire Heritage Conference, it validated themselves.  Same thing with Ligonier beating Richland. Ligonier and Purchase Line were in that con...

Re: THE RACE TO 16 WINS

I did student rush a few times a few years back, it was still at the Mellon Arena at that point.  Before you had to wait in line, first come first serve.  One time we missed it by 4-5 people in front of us.  Went and scalped and bought tickets for $30 anyway.

Re: Coaching Changes

I think McCort beat eventual Heritage champ Ligonier early in the season by 25 or so.

I think all that says is Purchase Line and Ligonier would have fit right in the mix with the top 7 LHAC teams, but again the LHAC has been a bear the past two seasons.  Battles every night.

Re: Coaching Changes

It really is a shame that every team in the LHAC can't go 12-4 in the conference every year. Better develop the kids in elementary and junior high?  Ha!  Conemaugh Valley went 0-10 in football this year.  Four years ago they went 8-0 in junior high. High school coaches aren't magicians. Kids aren't...

Re: Coaching Changes

Moving to 6 classes from the 4 class format helped boast those teams seasons. Don’t get me wrong. Great seasons for them. I get the LHAC was really strong this year in particular. But to keep this guy on and not even try opening it up to see what’s out there coaching wise. Just sucks for these kids...
