Re: VFW State Champs
Area 5 has teams from Bald Eagle, Bellefonte, Huntingdon, Mount Union, Penns Valley, and State College.
Philipsburg and Clearfield also play VFW baseball.
VFW is only played in the center of the state from Altoona area east to Lebanon/Schuylkill County.

Re: Weekend scores...
I watched the game on Hornet TV and it was a nice win for JV. The Hornets took advantage of two BG mistakes to grab the win. Hoping for a good showing next week for the ICC in the district finals!

Re: MVP??
Derek Yingling for West Branch is another one. 1190 yards rushing so far and he's scored over half of his team's touchdowns. I'm not sure they win a game without him.

Re: Keeping Track of ICC
Sandstorm what is up with Mount Union, why such a big drop off from last year? From what i saw they had a lot of young talent last year We have 9 seniors and a roster of just 31. Only a small handful of the seniors play significant roles in the team. Injuries along the line have been brutal. So man...

Re: Keeping Track of ICC
One of the most balanced seasons in recent memory. Even at 0-5, Mount Union has been very competitive with everyone they've played aside from Tussey Mountain.

Any other ICC scores out there??
Claysburg 41
Mount Union 34
Mount Union snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in the final 5 minutes of the game. Trojans lead 28-20 late and let it slip away.

Re: Keeping Track of ICC
Mount Union was without Dodd (shoulder surgery, out for the season), Rhodes (foot injury, was in a boot Friday), and Tustin (concussion) on Friday. We only have 9 seniors on the roster, so we're really young this year with many freshman and sophomores getting significant playing time. Better times a...

Re: ICC WEEK 4
Tussey Mountain is the best team I've seen all year. Those kids are talented, playing together as a team, and hungry after being the whipping boys of the league for years.
Also of note, Mount Union/Southern Huntingdon will now be played in Mount Union on Friday.

Re: field conditions
I would guess that Juniata College would be their first choice of alternate locations. It seems that JC and Huntingdon have a pretty good relationship, so it would not at all surprise me to see that be where the game is played if War Vets isn't ready to go.
