Re: NB 7v7 Summer Shootout

Southern Huntingdon has some really good athletes coming through the next few years. Their JV team was 7-1 last year and the Jr High team was either 8-0 or 7-1 last year.

Re: Going back

Yes there was District 6 AA playoffs in 1992.  I don't think United qualified with an 8-1 regular season record.  They ended up 9-1 overall.  Laurel Valley beat them 28-20 in week 1 and then United beat Laurel Valley 14-12 in the Appalachian Bowl.  Then Laurel Valley lost to Conemaugh Valley 35-6 i...

Re: Saturday Scoreboard 11/18

6-3 is a win for McCort in my book. Not a win where it counts, but they aren't down multiple scores and can still play their game.

Re: D6 AAA Championship

Huntingdon had 5 AAA titles during those years. I'm sure they would've been a huge factor at AA if their enrollment was similar in that time frame. The 98 team probably would've easily won the title. But I guess that's all apples and oranges.

Re: New PIAA Classification Ranges Posted

Juniata's bump to 4A is because of their co-op with East Juniata starting next year. There are a few surprises I didn't expect, AA could get really interesting if McCort decides to play up. I know that two years ago we had 6 12 year olds in Little League for MU. We usually have 25-30 per age group. ...

Re: Best Small School Conference

Heritage was the best, followed by WestPac, and then the ICC. Northern Bedford's win of D5 was great, but they didn't have to play the top three WestPac teams (Berlin is AA, Portage is D6, and Ferndale is D6) to win it. Juniata Valley had a nice win over Northern Cambria, but otherwise the ICC did n...

Re: Will there ever be a day???

In the mean time, Mt. Union will play up to 3A for 2 years because a pipeline is being laid through their area now. The numbers that have to be reported now will bump most of the girl sports and football up 1 class. These kids will be gone next summer but MU will pay for this extra short term enrol...
