Re: Jose Quintana
I would hate to lose bell I think he could bring consistent power that the pirates lack somewhat over the years. Looking at those most likely it's Glasnow and bell

Re: What is wrong with the NFL?
I think it has to deal with their size also. For example, when Shaq was dominanting he would not get a lot of foul calls for him cause he was so much bigger and stronger then everyone. And these 2 QB's are probably the most physically opposing in the league and that's why it happens more often to th...

Re: Jose Quintana
Pirates need a quality lefty starter so this sounds like a very smart option. Any ideas on what prospects they might be offering?

Re: PIAA- All 9th Graders to High School Football
I understand the worry about smaller kids but I think the pros outweigh the cons. Most smaller teams need the kids to fill JV teams but also those freshman will get better learning from the varsity coaches and practicing against the older players. Coaches are smart enough to know when a young player...

I remember CC played up in football in the early 2000's cause AAA only had a couple schools at that point and they were one of the biggest AA schools

Re: Playing up in class
Why would the "league" they play in ask them to do that? It has no effect on League outcome since they will play the same teams in season. It's the POST season, and the gutless PIAA that would decide where they play in class. It has to do with playoff points I would assume. Why would u...

Re: Class A State Title Thread: Bishop Guilfoyle vs. Clairton
I have a feeling this is going to be a classic. This is the game both teams have been waiting for since the last meeting. BG doesn't have the same athletes across the board as they did the last time but Wheeler is a great coach and will put them in position to make plays. That being said it's going...

Re: College football playoff megathread
Washingtons notable games: -#9 USC -#10 Colorado -#18 Stanford -#19 Utah -Washington St (just dropped out of rankings after back to back losses to Washington and Colorado) I think the teams are pretty similar but it's hard to put a team in the playoff that losses by 39 regardless of when in the seas...

Re: College football playoff megathread
Well Washington has victories over standford, Utah, Washington St who are all ranked or were when they played them and a top ten Colorado it's not like they played an awful schedule it's fairly close to PSU I think the thing that held PSU back was the huge loss to Michigan
