I hope more do. Don't give them the satisfaction and keep it up until they leave. They'd be average in the WPIAL. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk So average AA WPIAL team = 3 D1 senior linemen Average AA WPIAL team = 2 straight D6 AA championships and one runner-up Average AA WPIAL team = A four ...

Re: Expectations After 2 Weeks
In the Heritage, it looks like Saltsburg and Marion Center may be the second and third best teams. These teams were at the bottom of the conference two years ago.

Re: Ligonier Valley
Here are my thoughts on this subject as an LV resident and fan: 1. I absolutely wanted LV to move to the WPIAL (first choice) or the LHAC after they consolidated. Geographically there is not that much of a difference and it would have been a better fit with size of schools. But they didn't. I th...

Re: United’s Kyle Silk moves to Ligonier Valley
Speaking of that link-what a poorly written article. He messed up several names, puts in "north Cambria"..... it'd be good if he did full research before he writes stuff. But he has written half-factual crap in the past as well. and who are we to tell a writer what to do I'm fine costanz...

Re: NFL Draft
I really liked what the Steelers did. Usually, moving up from 20 to 10 costs a team next year's number 1 draft pick at least. That scene in Nashville was something. Six blocks of wall to wall people. A lot of quirky things about the draft: 1. First time two tight ends from the same team were draf...

The Chicken Runs at Midnight
I heard about this - which is a book (and a true story) about former Pirates third base coach Rich Donnelly and his daughter Amy who passed away of cancer at the age of 18 shortly after the Pirates playoff run in 1992. It's an incredible story. I just got done reading the book and I enjoyed it so...

Re: Steelers
I'm guessing that this is one of the first times in NFL history (if not the first) that a team converted 2 fourth downs on PI penalties. Couple that with the controversy of these calls - the first one being just a horrible call, and if you look at the second one - I think the ball was actually tip...

RIP Bill Fralic
Bill Fralic passed away today at 56 as a result of cancer. He was such a dominant O lineman at Pitt. He finished in the top ten of the Heisman voting as an O lineman - twice (8th his junior year and 6th his senior year). He had a great career as an Atlanta Falcon.
