Re: Saltsburg forfeit
Blue Yonder, Saltsburg did not forfeit that game because they thought they were going to lose. Look at the 2017 game vs Ligonier, 4 players were injured. Can you imagine Saltsburg's 150lb qb against that front 7. He would have been broken in half. Their season would have been over. The competitive a...

Re: Saltsburg forfeit
Knowitall, are you serious? How would you break that to the team that people are arguing is the best shade team ever? I bet those boys want to play. I'm guessing they have some confidence. I think they can have success against liggy. Roll fyfe, get the ball out quick. The athletes match up well. Up...

Re: Saltsburg forfeit
I really think Shade should forfeit the Appalachian Bowl, enjoy the week off, let some bumps and bruises heal and start preparing for the single A playoffs. You are probably right. Would you believe Shade has a smaller enrollment than Saltsburg? That means that according the PIAA Ligonier has app...

Re: big drop-off
Yeah, sometimes you'll have a big drop-off from time to time in high school football. I think the 2007 Ligonier team went 9-1 with a first round playoff loss and then followed that up with a 3-6 season. I think Ligonier leaned on some senior running backs that year and didn't really have a plan g...

Re: Finish this statement??
I agree Crimson. Both those teams beat LV in hoops. Unfortunately, they are going to get destroyed up front on both sides. Fyfe is solid and the athletes match up pretty well. But we all know the best pass coverage is a great pass rush. Caldwell will have all day and Fyfe will have about 1.5 secs....

Re: AAAAA Final: Gateway vs Archbishop Wood
The WPIAL has shown that it is not the highest brand of football in the state and the Philly Catholic league takes the "open enrollment"policy to new levels. You can say everyone just needs to get better, but in the end teams can just pop up like neumann goretti did this year. So, kee...

Re: AAAAA Final: Gateway vs Archbishop Wood
WPIAL should be ashamed of itself. AW is great, but 42-0 great, I dont know. Yep, I agree. WPIAL teams only won 3 of the 6 state championships (all public schools) all in blow out fashion. They should probably just fold District 7 because their 5A champ, Gateway, beat the District 6 and Distri...

Re: Homer-Center vs. Jeannette
Homer rushed for 250 against Guilfoyle. Guilfoyle has 2 300lb DT's, 2 6'2 DE's that are big and quick, and 3 LB's that average about 195lbs and can run. Jeanette averages about 210lbs up front and their LB's average about 170lbs but are probably a little quicker than Guilfoyle's. You would think tha...

Re: Tonight’s scores
It there's been a bigger upset in the History of the D6 play-offs I'd like to know about it. That little Single A team just beat the LHAC champs. wow.
