Re: Heritage/West Pac Sponsorship
I like the idea of finding a neutral site, not every stadium in the WestPac/Heritage would be ideal hosts for a championship game. Some don't have visiting bleachers. It'd be nice if 2 teams go 9-0, that the game could be in a site that could accommodate both sets of fans. I love to see this, but...

Re: Heritage/West Pac Sponsorship
True, I haven't really given it a whole lot of thought to the sites. I've only thought of the obvious appeal to players, coaches, and fans, from both conferences. I'm sure you could find a site in the heritage conference area and Westpac conference area that could host these three games. Let's ...

Re: Heritage/West Pac Sponsorship
I guess my previous post didn't post before I was done. Anyway. I don't know why AD's in the Heritage can't think of this stuff. They do a great job with the basketball tournament at IUP.

Re: Heritage/West Pac Sponsorship
Kudos to First Commonwealth Bank for stepping up and sponsoring the event. It's a nice thing. However, it could be so much more than a yearly game between Ligonier and one of three teams in the Westpac. They could have two other Bowl games on a championship Saturday, say Noon, Four, and 8pm (The...

Re: A fine evening of football
With the differences in conferences there isn't much that can be done . If we stick with AA as an example and throw in district 5 teams , there are 15 schools split between 5 conferences. As bad as I think ICC is, they do have a third of those double a teams. I think they should be split according ...

Re: A fine evening of football
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. Maybe if the decision makers would consider the "greater good" we could see much more competitive football on Friday Nights. You'll notice that my thought of merging the ICC, Westpac, and Heritage includes only Single A and Double ...

Re: A fine evening of football
You put juniata valley, Mo Valley, and others in a small school league and they would have a shot at a conference championship. With Bellwood there, they have little to no chance. That's not a knock on Bellwood either. I think they would be better served playing schools with enrollments from 125-190...

Re: A fine evening of football
Heritage is in the same boat. Marion Center will probably finish somewhere between 7-10, West Shamokin somewhere between 4-6. When the PIAA switched to 6 classes it did absolutely nothing for the Shade's, Williamsburg's, and Saltsburg's of District 6. The ICC, WestPac, and Heritage should all merge ...

Re: A fine evening of football
It's hard to look at those lower levels and project, but I guess they are a gauge to look at. (I know you aren't hanging your hat on those, just using them as a tool) When was the last time MU beat BA? Outside of the 2014 season... just wondering. Max preps only goes back to the 2004 season. The o...
