Re: College Hoops

So why wasn't the game mentioned on Friday or Saturday? The only sports going on, on Thanksgiving, were the 3 pro football games. You'd think that the Tribune would be starved for sports stories, at least on Friday. Look. They just didn't want to print the loss to Bradley. I'll guarantee you that if...

Re: College Hoops

The game started at 8:30 Wednesday night. I watched a lot of it. The DePaul game, which PSU lost the week before in Illinois, started at 9PM. The story of THAT game made the paper the very next day. Nice try, Crimson, but your theory doesn't wash. They CHOSE to leave it out.

Re: College Hoops

So, Crimson, what you are saying is: …1) There was an AP article about the Bradley loss ...2) The Tribune had it in their possession ...3) They put it on their computer website ...4) but they CHOSE not to run the article in the physical paper on any of the 3 days following. So I guess the Tribune ca...

Re: College Hoops

Re: College Hoops

Wonder if the AP covered PSU's upset loss Wednesday to Bradley University? Couldn't seem to find any article about it in the Tribune on Thursday, Friday OR Saturday. Couldn't even find the score. Could it be that the Tribune decided not to put it in the sports page? Selective journalism perhaps? Sur...

Re: College Hoops

Trump doesn't want articles about him to be more positive. He wants them to be less negative. Big difference. When something negative is stated more than once in a small article, why BELABOR the point. You got your point across the first time, didn't you? What purpose does it serve to pick on someone.

Re: College Hoops

I never said he did. He works for AP. Irregardless, the local fans have to read this stuff in the local paper. Can't the Tribune edit his column, or use another source? Don't seem to see many negative articles about other schools. Seems no matter what happens, they bring up something positive in the...

Re: College Hoops

Interesting read in the Tribune today about Pitt's basketball win against St. Louis yesterday. It's amazing, though, what can be said in a sports article. Two times in the article, Matt Sugam of the AP mentioned how easy Pitt's schedule has been so far. He stated that, "The Panthers are undefea...

Re: Movin' On Up

SMU finished the 1982 regular season 10-0-1. Their only blemish was a 17-17 tie against a tough Arkansas team. After their bowl win, they finished as the only undefeated college football team that year. PSU's huge loss against Alabama should have excluded them from contention for the National Champi...

Re: Movin' On Up

So? In 1982, Penn State was slaughtered by Alabama 42-21 on October 9th, but was still GIVEN the National Championship.
