Re: TURKOVICH RETURNING TO BEDFORD????

I saw in the Bedford Gazette that Turkovich was named the Academy's outstanding athlete for the year. Pretty big accomplishment. It also stated that Wisconsin, NC State, and WEST VIRGINIA are interested in him. How did this get past Hollywood? I think I saw on North Carolina's web site that they mad...

Oh, I'm with you 11th man. Bedford did win the majority of head to head competition. I'm just not gonna whine and complain about it. The cup is what it is, and you live with it. It's a good attempt at trying to keep some kind of county rivalry going. To figure in 'strength of schedule' is going too ...

I do wear a Bison on my shirt, and I don't agree with BisonBlue. You play with the hand you are dealt. Deal with it and move on. Ridge did beat Bedford in wrestling and track, so it's not like Bedford dominated Ridge when they did play each other. Just say congrats to Ridge on having a good year. It...

Don't forget about Ruby Ridge either. Or the Cole bombing. Or Somalia. Or the embassies in Africa. Or the first WTC bombing in 1993. I know you are saying that nobody died as a result of Cllinton lying, making an assumption that Bush lied to the American people. First, I don't know of any factual pr...

Here's another one for ya. I quit playing after 10th grade so I didn't personally witness this, but some of the varsity players when I was a senior took one of the underclassmen, stripped him to his underwear, and drug him thru a mud hole up on the varsity field. I won't mention names as to who did ...

I'll throw out a few: Now this is Jr. High, but I guess it counts. During practice, running in single file behind D-Con (Coach Smith) in an aimless pattern through the varsity as they were practicing, singing 'We're Not Gonna Take It' by Twisted Sister. Made practice entertaining. And he still remem...

I've always felt, no matter what the situation, that the use of this word is never necessary. If that is the only way you can find to express yourself, then it probably isn't worth saying. But that's just me, and it's an argument I know I'll never win.

When I played in the late 80's, Bedford used tight ends in some of their formations. Mostly for blocking. You might get a reception a couple times a year from there. It was usually just the split end in tight. That would be a sight. Put Turk out at the wide receiver position. Like Mike Marshall, exc...

I thought Turk went to the prep school to get some discipline, as well as become a tight end. Whether either happened, I don't know. I would think if he is doing good at becoming a tight end, he would be better off at the prep school. Bedford doesn't use a tight end that much. But if he got some dis...

The sad part is that many people who watch the movie will indeed take Moore for his word that they are facts.
