Re: 10-7 scores
Bedford went up 14-0 on Richland. Richland scores next 2 touchdowns. XP no good. Bedford leads 14-13 late in 2nd quarter.

Re: Speed kills
Yes, Ethan Black plays football for CT. I think he is a receiver. Bedford's backfield has some speed. Ethan Weber is the fastest. He went to states in the 100m. His best time was around 11.01. Black from CT won states. I think his top time last year was 10.63. Bedford QB Ressler was on the Bedford 4...

Re: Scoring records- school individual
Though possible I would be very skeptical of that claim. Isn't a game 32 minutes long? So they are shooting the ball almost 3 times per minute. Did the other team even touch the ball or any of their teammates? They were both talented basketball players.

Re: Scoring records- school individual
Though not my school, I think Joe Nastasi scored 61 for Northern Bedford. May have been a playoff game. Brother AJ had a high score of 53. I'm guessing both had multiple games over 50 points.

Re: Coach/ players of the year by conference.
Don't forget the Bedford game Manfred. Didn't they have zero tackles in the first half but gave up like 48 points?

Re: Best teams from schools not traditionally football powerhouses
You beat me to it OOL. I think they were 13-0 that year and beat a heavily favored Indiana to win the D6 AAAA title in 86. Vo-tech was usually penciled in as a win for most teams. They put it all together in 86 though.

Re: PIAA Boys State Playoffs
I think he's looking at Maxpreps. They do have them ranked as the #1 team in PA, with NA at #2.

Re: PIAA Boys State Playoffs
When have the brackets in any sport ever been set up by ranking? And then by whose ranking, Penn Live, Maxpreps, etc?

Re: PIAA Boys State Playoffs
Don't have a subscription so can't read today's paper (not trying to be smart, can't even get paper copy). You have to look at the bracket on the PIAA site. In the first round Berlin was the top team in the bracket. It looks like either they, or D5, chose to play at Windber. They won and in the next...
