Re: Shot Clock In H.S. Basketball Yes or No
I think you are doing the opposite of proving your point. A NFL roster is 53 players and another 10 on the practice squad. Now add in another dozen players that are on IR and do not count towards the 63. That is 75 players per roster. Over a 22 year time period that is 1,650 rostered players. The WO...

I always counter that argument with "I agree I think the owners should get all the money"
The money is going to come in for sports...It can go to either the owner or the athlete. I would rather the person that is actually entertaining me and putting their body on the line get the money.

Re: Shot Clock In H.S. Basketball Yes or No
I love the reaction on here anytime someone suggests cutting the ridiculous amount of publicly funded fat at the school district level in Western PA. PA should have county school districts. Most western PA counties could get by with 3-5 high schools...Instead they complain that they can't afford a s...

Re: Make District 6 One Conference
I think this looks great and would be an amazing league. I think each region you have would be very competitively balanced. I do think a little tweaking could between the regions. The big question schools would have to answer is if it is better to play in a region where the schools differ in size to...

Re: Wrestling disappearing in small schools ?
I saw this in the USA Today last week. It’s a very interesting take for those parents and coaches that want their kids/players to commit to only one sport! 8 starting NFL quarterbacks from this weekend played 24 sports combined in high school. Matt Stafford 🏈⚾ Tom Brady 🏈🏀⚾ Josh Allen 🏈🏀⚾ Patrick M...

Re: Wrestling disappearing in small schools ?
I am in the same boat. Constant reader but very rarely post. But as a dad who has a teenage son who loves baseball and no other sports. I wish he would try other ones but he wants to focus on baseball. I feel it puts him at a disadvantage to only play little league. We have bounced between little l...

Re: Wrestling disappearing in small schools ?
I totally agree about the travel and specialization starting at younger and younger ages, totally ridiculous. I do have to take issue with the attack on 'dad' coaches. Yes there are bad dads that are in it for the wrong reasons. But without dads (and moms) coaching, fund raising, working on fields,...

Re: Wrestling disappearing in small schools ?
Easy to blame the kids for not wanting to participate in sports, especially the team sports in today's day and age. What people don't want to hear is the problem is actually with the adults. Adult participation is down with quality youth program coaches, quality youth program officials, and so forth...

Re: Pitts Defense
The only way that the SEC gets 2 in is if Alabama beats UGA in the championship game. I don't see how a 2 loss, non-conference champion Alabama would get in with their biggest wins on the year being Florida and Auburn. A 2 loss team has never got in. So here is the teams I can still justify having a...

Re: Penn State
I am sure you can find concerns with any team across the country right now, outside of Alabama. End of the day Penn State is 4-0 with a road win at Wisconsin and a home win against Auburn. If you told me before the season they would be sitting at 4-0 right now, I would have taken no matter how they ...
