Re: WJAC
Wrestling gets super coverage in Bedford county. The TV stations may not pick it up but the newspaper and radio sure cover it. Quite frankly they cover it better than every other sport in my opinion.

Re: D6 Girls title matchups
Say what you want about the man from an ethical standpoint, but I am not sure how you can ding Moschella (from a coaching standpoint) who has multiple state championships to his credit. I understand those championships are tainted in your mind, but you can't have an idiot as a coach and win a champ...

I agree the 3.8 looks the same. Far more important is having the CPA. Cash Payment Available.knowitall wrote:Bologna.PLDragons24 wrote:To a college a 3.8 GPA looks better at McCort than at Johnstown. Nothing against Johnstown it's just the way it is.

Re: D5 AA Boys Bracket
I wouldn't count Everett out either. They gave Tussey all they wanted twice. They aren't a favorite but the Bedford county teams know it each other well!Crimson's Ghost wrote:It's hard to count anyone out in a four team bracket. I think they could all win except Everett realistically.

Re: BC girls
From the Altoona Mirror article today on Coach G, his three-year record at PC was a stellar 19-52. His stint at a public school was short-lived and disastrous. Coaches in the LHAC remembered all the spankings his BC All-Star teams delivered so they were quick to return the favor. If I'm not mistake...

Re: Important Events in District 5 History #PIAA
I have a few for consideration. First, 1996 Beth Burkett from Chestnut Ridge captures back to back silver medals at the state track and field meet. Has the 9th best throw in the United States that year in high school and goes on to compete on scholarship at Div 1 Kentucky and I'm pretty sure was an ...

They apologized. End of story. If you didn't like the apology too bad. Why are we trying to make it a race issue know it all? It doesn't matter what color you are bad behavior is bad behavior!

Re: ICC Basketball
I am just truly amazed at how much time and effort people put into complaining about high school sports. You would think that kids are there to play sports and if they happen to get an education on top of it, then that is great. WRONG! Sports are there to build team work, instruct students on how t...
Re: 6 Classes
First, Guru1 ... very good post! Southpaw....the 4 & 2 plan is the one I would prefer also but remember, The "Bohannon Plan" for boundary vs non-boundary schools was steamrolled by the catholic diocese about 3-4 years ago. In fact the PIAA is not permitted to even use that language &q...
Re: 6 Classes
The PIAA could go to 64 classes and folks would still be crying about inequity. To be a state champ you should be the best. Period. The best at what ? Recruiting. These kind of statements really make me shake my head. I guess by this thinking we should have all teams in one class. A true state cham...
