Re: 2022-2023 PIAA Football
I would guess that it would continue to be D6 and the D5 and D9 together with the winners playing in the state first round. D6 would have 3 teams and D9/D5 would have 4.

2022-2023 PIAA Football
The classes came out today for the next 2 years. This does not include teams voluntarily playing up. According to the PIAA, BG is forced up to 2A next year. District 6 6A Altoona Mifflin County State College 5A Central Mountain Hollidaysburg 4A Johnstown Juniata 3A Bellefonte Central Tyrone 2A Bald ...
Re: BG Canton
Congratulations to BG. They returned few starters from last year, started the season 1-2, lost 2 more during the regular season, and then caught fire during the playoffs. The recruits that turned the tide for them must have come in around weeks 10 or 11. The PIAA should investigate that. Maybe coac...

Re: Coach/ players of the year by conference.
If your team has more assists than solo tackles then you are doing something wrong. Forest Hills stats have them for 88!! tackles a game. And almost 700 more assists than solos. Apparently everyone in the pile gets credit for a tackle. Tackle stats in high school should never be taken as an importan...

Re: Conference jumping
Tyrone would be a good fit if that is true. However wouldn't they need someone else to join too to keep an even number for football? Who else would be a good fit? Windber? Bellwood?

Re: Williamsburg
Tyrone and Juniata Valley are playing. Doesn't look like they are playing Tussey unless there's been a late minute change in the schedule.

Re: District 6 Finals Tickets Baseball / Softball
You don't pick up the tickets you order online. You either have it on your phone or print it out on paper. The bigger drawback I see is the extra fees you have to pay when you buy a ticket online. I can see why they do it though. It's definitely easier on the sites and needing less people to work an...

Re: PIAA Boys State Playoffs
From Bob Greenburg on Twitter
From PIAA's Bob Lombardi, the basketball brackets were set up this year with the District with the larger number of schools in that class at the top of pairing. That is why D7 will get an inordinate amount of home games.
