Re: Hiring Process
What I don't get is if an opening in the administration does exist, why not fill it AND get a head coach at the same time. I think I heard of the middle school principle job being open. Maybe I'm wrong. But if they don't want an administrator to hold a coaching job, why interview an administrator at...

Re: What cha know about CATHOLICS???
The argument I can't understand is how a kid "transfers" to their home district? Their parents tax money goes there. "Returning" to there home district is a better way to put it.

Re: The Editorial
The Richland of old did indeed suck. But much of that was the result of bad, unprepared, and unmotivated coaching staffs. The old staff was there for a paycheck, and after they were replaced at Richland, a few went to Cambria Heights, and we all know how they turned out. The current staff works hard...

Re: The Editorial
El-Moldo, If it is true {and it most likely is} that Catholic schools are being squeezed financially, then being successful in athletics is a good way to keep enrollment up. Therefore, they need to fight the rule as it was originally written to remain viable . Catholic schools have to be self-suffic...

Re: What cha know about CATHOLICS???
Maybe someone can answer this question: We know coaches can't recruit, but can kids that play for another school openly promote and attempt to lure a kid from a different school to come play with them? I doubt the PIAA rules prohibit this, but I'm not sure. If it is Ok, than WTR you have nothing to ...

Re: What cha know about CATHOLICS???
Coaches aren't the ones who necessarily recruit. Has anyone ever heard of the boosters. My nephew got a call from a booster in the 90's to go to McCort to play baseball. My sister said they weren't catholic, booster said it doesn't matter. My sister said they didn't have the money, the booster said ...

Re: What cha know about CATHOLICS???
Vman, If your talking about the Rizzo kid, he was good friends with Pecora and his younger brother was going to Richland anyway to wrestle - and Szcur {spelling?}, well story has it that Salem told him that he wouldn't amount to anything playing at McCort. My point about 9th graders is that they sho...

Re: Top players in the LHAC
Good post WTR. Last year was a great year to be a LHAC fan. There were so many great players on the gridiron. You could pick almost any game to go see from week to week and you were guaranteed to see a good football player. It turned out to be a special year, and one that may not be seen again for a...

Re: What cha know about CATHOLICS???
In Maryland, private schools can't play in the public school state playoffs, DeMatha{spelling?} Catholic sealed that deal. Talked to a Bishop Walsh coach last year in Maryland, he said their kids are mostly all products of their catholic grade school programs and they have almost no transfers from o...
