Re: Steelers
"Bye bye Tomlin" --- Not sure where you think he is going, or why you think he needs to go anywhere. Noone who follows the Steelers would truly see a change coming there, don't forget Noll had a bunch of losing seasons after the guys from the 70's were gone and they still never said bye by...
Re: Steelers
Don't think we can blame the coaches, or even the QB for this one... Receivers stopped catching the ball, offensive line committing too many obvious penalties, and the defense was still trying to recover from Sunday and could not get up too game speed. This is why Thursday games are so bad, the play...

Re: Player misses practice
For me, I would say it depends on what the team understanding is. If nothing is said before the season starts then you have nothing to say when someone misses. If you tell them before the season starts that if they miss practice they don't play and they still miss then they are making that decision....

Re: Wrestling disappearing in small schools ?
This is unfortunately a trend in almost all sports, a trend that started before Covid, but certainly was not helped by it. Numbers are down in most sports at all levels of high school competition, it is just most noticeable at the small school levels. Football, basketball, wrestling, swimming, baseb...

Re: Idiotic steeler fans calling for Tomlin to be fired
Yep, that's right fire the guy that kept them composed despite playing terribly. They outplayed everyone in the second half of their games, when he was able to meet with the coordinators and rework the game plan, no coach was better at that this year. People out there complain because the team seeme...

Re: If you could vote on it, would you make A football into a 7 player form if it meant schools could field teams?
I don't know which way I would vote but I do see some troubling trends in sports that this could rectify. First, a lot of people on here are complaining about schools co-opping together Williamsburg and JV for example. Doing this would allow for there to be more one school teams, and some of those s...

Re: Best d6 Football Teams Ever
The 2009 State College team that lost in the AAAA (biggest classification at the time) State Championship game. They had several D1 players on that team including Alex Kinney who went on to play at PSU. During their playoff run they beat some true powerhouse teams for the era and had a play or two g...

Re: Julian Fleming
As a 6'3 "pro style" QB I am not sure where McCord can succeed at a bigtime college football school. He is just limited by the fact that there are so many lineman who are taller than he is and he is not mobile enough to get out and away from the traffic. As for the receivers we say Harriso...
Re: Defense
That would be Keith Butler, the understudy to Dick LeBeau. It is tough to watch when the guys on the field with known names don't seem to want to be out there (exception being Heyward), and the other guys who seem to be trying just aren't good enough to leave an impact. Both coordinators seem to mak...
