Re: New LHAC member....

If you look at the LHAC championships in football, basketball, volleyball and even baseball, over the past 15-20 years, there are a disproportionate number of Bishops in there. If you don't think that some schools resent how easily the privates re-load from year to year, your the cooling yourself.

Re: New LHAC member....

Knee-jerk reactions lead to bad decisions. Schools are overly concerned with winning, when stability, as someone mentioned above is the most important factor. I'm sure Cambria Heights felt that they were going to have a tough time staying competitive as enrollment shrinks. But just about every schoo...

Re: Richland/Westmont

Not all schools choose to be part of the 'central scheduling'.

Re: Richland/Westmont

Everyone knows the rule coaches refs etc. the problem is for some reason the local officials have shown a lot of favor to Richland athletics. I have heard fans and coaches alike complain. Rumor has it Richland pays refs more money so of course refs want to stay in good favor to continue to get sele...

Re: Richland/Westmont

Someone on the Tribune facebook page is claiming that all game officials present, including the JV ref and the ADs from both schools got together and agreed that the young/new JV ref overreacted or made some kind of mistake, and that the coach be allowed to coach the Varsity game. The Westmont coach...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

The only reason I mentioned the LHAC was because I thought that LV would be a good fit. Then you made the stupid statement that they never considered the LHAC because they were looking for better competition. So I defended. You can't compare the LHAC with the other local conferences, just like you c...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

Maybe end of story for LV. BG has won several state championships since 2015, and in a supposedly down year in the LHAC, Richland, BG, and Chestnut Ridge won district titles. But whatever. You would think that LV may have formed some rivalries in all of their years in D6, but I guess not. You now ha...

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

Better competition than the Heritage sure. No guarantee that some random AA division in the 'vaunted' WPIAL is going to be markedly better competition than the LHAC. They aren't going to be playing Thomas Jefferson, WA, NA, Pine Richland, etc...Whatever, what's done is done.

Re: 2020 LV schedule....

Am I the only one that has never heard of Frazier? You can't tell me that LV people would rather play Frazier than Johnstown, Forest Hills, and Richland.
