D6 Ticket prices

Apparently inflation has hit District 6 basketball. Tickets for District games are $8 + fees. That is ridiculous.

Re: Who is in charge of proposed super conference?

Somersets's AD is still the head of the LHAC. They were trying to form a breakaway conference which would have hurt the league. How is he still in charge? Somerset has no interest in playing similar sized schools, so any scenario based upon classification probably isn't being considered.

Re: LHAC Playoffs

You are probably correct about the atmosphere for the kids. I'm a casual fan looking for a comfortable setting. Plus I thought this would be a good opportunity for a conference that is looking to make a big move. Have both rounds somewhere like The Mount, so teams and fans can watch all of the games...

Re: LHAC Playoffs

I'm not sure lighting attracts the casual fan. Or waiting in line at halftime to use one of three toilets. The LHAC should do better. Sorry Devil, no offense intended.

Re: LHAC Playoffs

The West Pac is using UPJ. CC was a good playoff site 30 years ago. You either climb over people to sit in the rafters on one side or climb over the teams to sit in the four rows of seats on the other side. LHAC has to do better, especially if they are trying to woo teams into a super conference. Co...

Re: LHAC Playoffs

These are some good match-ups. I have to question CC as the championship site. The Heritage played theirs at the K Center at IUP. The LHAC can't find a better site than CC? St. Francis, The Mount, heck FH nice new gym a few minutes away would have been better.

Re: LHAC going up in flames?

Coach. I totally agree with what you are saying in regards to A schools competing with bigger schools. I'm not trying to argue. Just stating that logistics for scheduling the football season here, the other sport seasons there, the junior high programs over there, would be prohibitive. The bigger th...

Re: LHAC going up in flames?

Richland vs. Clearfield?? You know that Richland is much closer in size to Berlin and Windber and North Star and these teams that you say will be overmatched then they are to Clearfield. I believe that the intention behind this super LHAC is that you would play the teams in your division and then ha...

Re: LHAC going up in flames?

I agree with most of what the Coach says, but there are a few issues. First football is more than just Friday nights. There is JV on Monday and Junior High on Wednesday and Thursday. I'm pretty sure that at least Windber was against excessive travel. Plus the LHAC is doing this to help with football...

Re: LHAC going up in flames?

The smalls are the ones without many options. Someone will be unhappy, but what else are they going to do? The LHAC doesn't really need to do anything, so I guess its honorable of them to even consider this (though there is obviously a benefit to them as well). Maybe this leads to more consolidation...
