Re: Is Altoona playing football in the WPIAL the next 2 year

Talked with Franco at quarters in Altoona....also talked to a few others...two things would surprise me....1. Franco remains at Altoona.... 2. Altoona leaves Wpial.... those 2 things would surprise me...hint hint...lol

Re: PIAA Semi-final Preview Class AAA

Thanks for the post! Berwick has a rich Football history. I don't follow the east side of PA as much but idk if you can answer this billmurray but what is the Eastern Conference? My Dad Graduated from Valley West back in the day and is always wondering why they aren't playing in state. The Eastern ...

Re: PIAA Semi-final Preview Class AAAA

This one will be easy. Next week will be a battle of the rosary. St. Joes will easily handle a Neshaminy team that just doesn't match up with them. PCC will have just as easy a time with Lower Dauphin. This is my Saturday Game of the Week. Can't wait to see PCC in person again.

Re: PIAA Semi-final Preview class A

I'll take the bruising style Old Forge plays over Steel High. Blue Devils just too powerful

NC takes this one over team from weak D9 team

Re: PIAA Semi-final Preview Class AAA

The debate over the private/catholic school issue should become a hot topic with the PIAA sometime in the future. This year in AAA it's just an anomaly. On to the Berwick/Wood game. I agree with you Konjo, there is no substitute for game experience. Wood lost to 2 of the best 3 teams they faced this...

Re: Clearfield (13-0) vs Berwick (13-0) #PIAAfootball

Coach Jono is a great guy, but I don't give his Bison a chance. I've seen both. Berwick is bigger and stronger. Unfortunately, you stop Lezzer and you stop Clearfield. Would like to see Clearfield get out and play some tougher competition to prepare for these games. Berwick 45-13.

Re: Teams to Beat in WPIAL each class next year...

I'm watching back the Clairton game...I have to ask, how do you prepare for a team like Clairton? you get them early in 2013. I think the streak ends. Clairton loses 16 players to graduation from this great team. Replacing Boyd is a huge task. There is also the fact that Nola has been ready to reti...

that doesn't surprise me at all. Boland was flat on his face in the backfield several times.
