Re: State Playoffs

Back to back D6 State Champions. 22 Central, 21 Tyrone. Had a feeling before the season Central would win it. I think they felt robbed by Tyrone last year. Hell of a team congrats to the Dragons. Also congrats to Everett. Technically with the COVID year removed, it's back-to-back-to-back in AAA. Mo...

Re: Every school in District 5 and 6 (football)

The 10-10 LHAC split is definitely a good alignment, but you have to feel sorry for Central who left the Mountain League for the tougher competition/better travel conditions only to be thrown essentially right back into the same league with the merger. As for the ICC alignment, North/South probably ...

Re: Does anyon remember these old gyms?

The unique ones I remember from playing basketball in school: Fannett-Metal had barely any room between three-point line and the sideline and doubled/tripled as the cafeteria/auditorium. Claysburg-Kimmel's old/JH gym with the warped floor and changing in the boiler room. As mentioned before the Forb...

Re: UPDATE ON ICC

Well if it were true, I'd figure obvious choices for full time sports would be Bald Eagle Area, Huntingdon, Penns Valley, and Phillipsburg. How they would split the conference for sports would be the next question. South has 7, North has 6 right now. Would Williamsburg go south and then the other 3...

Re: PIAA Classification Craziness....Coming Soon!

Juniata Valley, Huntingdon, Mount Union, and Southern Huntingdon send students to the county-wide CTC. When I was in school, Huntingdon and Mount Union sent students both morning and afternoon, while the other two sent students only one of the two sessions. JV for size and SH for distance from the c...

Re: BG Canton

With your argument, how are you going to explain Mccort and Carroll football this season. If you combine two private schools, they should be unbeatable right? Which BG player didn't attend parochial grade school? He was injured and didn't play, but Haiden Garner was at Southern Huntingdon until I t...

Re: Mount Union

Matt would be a great man for the job. He knows football and I think he can relate to the kids. He's been involved as an assistant since stepping down, so I guess maybe it's just not wanting the extra headaches of being the head coach? We were a very young team this year with a lot of sophomores and...

Re: PIAA Classification Craziness....Coming Soon!

Mount Union and Southern Huntingdon would both probably drop to A under this system.
