Re: LHAC - predictions

A great way to see the overall success of the lhac programs would be to see the list of the winner of the all sports trophy in the conference. I am not even sure if the trophy is still in existence. If it is (cant find the list to see), that would answer the question of the most successful school(s)...

Didnt see that one coming....

I think out of all of the results from this past opening weekend, the lopsidedness of the Central Cambria and Johnstown game surprised me the most. I know that Johnstown did not have an impressive overall season last year due to injuries and what not, but looking at the score, the Trojans were total...

Re: United’s Kyle Silk moves to Ligonier Valley

It has passed with one year remaining in the current cycle. A school cannot co-op mid cycle if it jumps them a classification. This has to be done prior to the start of the new 2 year cycle (classification jump). If they could find an opportunity with a local school that does not alter the classific...

Re: United’s Kyle Silk moves to Ligonier Valley

The rules for transferring are a challenge. Committees have to rule on the transfer had some athletic intent. Open for interpretation, pending scenarios. Each situation and scenario is different and each presents its own challenges. I think it is actually worded as motivated in some material way. So...

Re: AAABA

I still think it is a quality tournament that is entertaining and gives Johnstown something for the economy. I wish a little more pride would be placed into the stadium for something that someone (of multiple people) hope will be a big draw. I went each evening to the Martella's contest. The Point i...

Re: AAABA

JOHNSTOWN 1 is always paired opposite Nola, from the best of my knowledge. I could be wrong. I can’t recall a tourney where they were paired together especially under the new format. I do believe that the JOHNSTOWN contingency has progressed in talent as of late. I also believe that the overall tour...

Re: Curious Hire

Ralph DeMarco will do a fine job. Loves high school athletics. Has an extensive background. Already has a rapport with the majority of the AD's in the area. Not starting from scratch with a position that is more of a behind the scenes type of job. Puts his heart and soul into what he does and what h...

Recognition

Now that the teams in the LHAC, Heritage and WestPAC are out of the playoffs for the season, I am going to dig into MaxPreps and see who made the top 15 in the state of Pennsylvania in each stat category to recognize them for a job well done. I dont think that an all area team is comprised by anyone...

Re: WestPAC Winding Down and Heating Up

The WestPAC Championship goes to the Indians in convincing fashion. The Indians hit the ball early and often. The Indians Devin Foster struck out 12 Rockets in a 5 inning shortened game. The Indians had 11 hits off of Rockets hurler Troy Emert. Troy pitched well, CT was just determined and stroking ...

WestPAC Winding Down and Heating Up

The WestPAC season wraps up official play this week with the Championship game to be held at Mount Aloysius College on Monday of next week. The South sits in a traffic jam with Rockwood (10-3), Shanksville (9-3) and Meyersdale (9-3) sitting really close to one another in conference play. Rockwood ha...
