Re: This is getting ridiculous
The safety of these student athletes should trump all other considerations, so I agree that United / CV should be canceled. Hopefully, there won't be any forthcoming punishment from the D6 Committee as they have been known to put a program on probation for a year for forfeiting a game.

Re: 10/11 Scores
No offense to JV or BG, but I think Portage is the favorite this year in single-A. Pride aside, why risk what is your best opportunity to win a district championship over this game?

I heard they were down to 21 healthy players (from 37 total). That's a ton of injuries.davesandstorm wrote:Philipsburg is forfeiting their final 2 games to Clearfield and Penns Valley.

Re: Ligonier Valley
One important item to not overlook when considering having 4-5 out-of-conference games is just how difficult it can be to schedule football games. Ask any AD/school that had an "independent" schedule (e.g. CR, SJCA, etc). You have to be willing to travel long distances and play schools tha...

The rich get richer
Never too early for basketball talk. Just heard some interesting news that Saint Joseph's best returning player, a 6'6" 11th grade wing with a deadly outside shot, transferred to Bishop Guilfoyle a few weeks ago. Word on the street is that the family is not moving. Coincidentally, this young...

Re: United’s Kyle Silk moves to Ligonier Valley
Regarding the multi sport--now favorite in basketball comment posted earlier. I can buy that in the Heritage Conference but I can't imagine any scenario whereby he will be, as a SR transfer, granted eligibility under the current rules for the playoffs so I don't think it changes a thing in 6-AAA ...
