Re: Pitt vs Penn state cfb series ends in 2019
I went to Happy Valley to take in the Pitt-PSU game and had a blast. My friends and I that are split between alliances kind of made a pact to enjoy these next two seasons because we knew that would be it. It's fun, but just not what it used to be sadly. There's a whole generational section that WVU ...

Re: Steelers are 10-2, thoughts?
Never have a seen a 10-2 with fans with such little confidence in them (me included). They are the most low-key 10-2 team ever. And this Patriots thing.... it's definitely a bug-a-boo. They are obviously in their heads. I'd rather them have the come to Jesus moment in the playoffs, thus I'm not putt...

Re: College Coaching Carousel
Taggart to FSU would throw a wrench in the Frost back to Nebraska plan because there is some speculation he might return to Oregon. I feel dirty expressing anything remotely close to sympathy for Todd Graham, but was his record THAT bad there? What are their expectations? Is this a case of their adm...

Re: Pitt Basketball
There is always a lot of in-fighting on social media between Pitt and PSU folks, mainly around the "we don't care about you but we talk about you when your side struggles" and I think local media does a little bit to fan those flames. For example, Altoona Mirror, who do a fantastic job cov...

Re: Johnstown leaving the LHAC
Johnstown just is never leaving the LHAC unless all 11 schools all drop to single A and they remain in 4A. You can throw history out the window, the ability to play all their games for all sports with reasonable travel time and have local rivalries is way better than trying to be the Johnstown of ...

Re: Johnstown leaving the LHAC
Yep, Johnstown's boys' basketball schedule used to be all over the place. Erie teams, Pittsburgh City League teams, etc. The basketball schedules for boys and girls pretty much writes itself. I'd rather look at expansion prospects for the LHAC. Chestnut Ridge replacing BC but also perhaps adding Lig...

Re: Johnstown leaving the LHAC
While I would say the Mountain League is a better option than those that want the Trojans to return to the WPIAL, there is no reason, benefit or advantage to do this. Remember, the LHAC is an all-sports conference. The winter and spring sports that play 2-3 contests per week would be especially taxe...
