Julian Fleming
At this point, he definitely has to be considered a bust. However, hopefully, he will get a degree from Ohio State and go onto better things. I believe this is last year of college ball, but the way the NCAA determines eligibility who knows. Maybe he still has a COVID year, a red shirt year & a ...

Local sports coverage leaves a LOT to be desired
I heard from a friend, as I don't watch it anymore, that WJAC actually gave the scores of the PC boys and Berlin girls game last night!! No highlights, just the scores - WOW - great job WJAC!! I did watch WTAJ and they actually had highlights of both games, as they still have a sports department!!!

Re: Local sports coverage leaves a LOT to be desired
Nope, truly pathetic - so much for a LOCAL station. The TD has had some GREAT coverage of the few remaining teams in basketball and the state wrestling playoffs.

Re: 2023 Girls State Playoffs
It’s a shame that Chestnut Ridge and Westmont are meeting this early in the playoffs. But, that’s how the cookie crumbles, I guess. I watched this game last night - great game - close all night until OT. Ridge had it in the bag, but couldn't hit their free throws at the end of the 4th & Westmon...

Local sports coverage leaves a LOT to be desired

Good luck if there are local games on a Monday night or Saturday. The Mirror in Altoona does a good job on half the coverage area, but covers very li...

Chestnut Ridge Girls basketball
Seeing the results from yesterday, it looks like Ridge is simply taking advantage of a relatively easy schedule. The two best teams they have played, FH & WH, handled them easily. Lucky for them, they won't see either of them again until the playoffs.

Re: Any Monday scores?
How about some? There were a few games last nt., and since there is no Tues. paper, and neither local TV station covers much of the action anymore........that Windber @ Portage would have been newsworthy. Yeah, the local coverage has become a joke. Neither news stations cover local sports anymore, ...
