Re: District 6A Boys Playoffs
I know Carroll exhausted some energy playing Hollidaysburg the night before, but don't forget McCort beat Carroll earlier in the year. And, before beating Carroll, McCort lost to AAAA Erie McDowell in overtime by one. So they were able to bounce back a little better than BC was able to and win under...

Dillon Boyer and Bruno Rosa are two good middle infielders for Township. They will be just fine this season

Re: McConnellsburg at Shade
You can't claim Somerset had to deal with injuries, and ignore Ryan Fyock missed half the season. It goes both ways. Persoanlly, I feel Fyock is better than Close, and Wade Walker is better than Barron. I view Somerset as the LHAC's #6 at full health, and I think Shade is better. Now if Shade replac...

Re: District 6A Boys Playoffs
So you think a Juniata Valley-Bishop McCort would be close now on basketball season? Half of playing AAAA teams for teams around here is mindset. It gets into kids heads they are AAAA. To be honest Altoona with their starting five isn't overly talented more so than a good LHAC team. But they have mo...

Re: District 6A Boys Playoffs
I wouldn't put a lot of stock into smaller teams playing 4A teams. I think BC and BM are both better than Hollidaysburg. I'd say at this point of the season, McCort beats them. BM usually starts slow in December. But I don't see how you can say Carroll is better than McCort at this point, with McCor...

Re: McConnellsburg at Shade
I agree with that. Shade could be ropes in with McCort,Carroll,Johnstown,Penn Cambria, and BG. I think they are better than Somerset personally.

Holy optimism. Is Frazier the second coming of Allen Iverson? I've never seen him play. But six wins? They beat St Francis of Loretto by seven with him in the lineup.

Re: D6SN District 5 Boys A preview
I saw Walsh up at McCort, that kid is a beast. Very physical player. McCort was up 20 on them, he fouled out and they pushed it to OT. Their kids play well in afour guard look. They didn't seem to have a lot of height outside of him.

Re: Monday 2/18 Playoff Scores
I'd rank the LHAC as follows, BM,BC,PC,Jtown,BG,Som,CH,and Richland. Northern Cambria lost to the 7th beat LHAC team by two in the season, and beat #8 in the playoffs by 5. I like NC a lot, but they have no depth. Their starters played essentially the whole game, if they get some foul trouble, it wi...
