Re: Pirates April 22 - 28
Our Buccos have dropped to 29th (next to last) in the offensive rankings. Only Miami is worse and not by much. The offense had little room for error with everyone healthy. Having this many injuries is practically impossible for them to overcome. Let’s hope some of the injured guys can return soo...

Re: Pirates April 22 - 28
Musgrove, without question, should have started the 7th. He was around 84 pitches and was rolling. The 7th inning was a lot of bad luck...it happens. Crick did struggle with his command, but thats most likely a result of just coming back. Any way you slice it, it’s a little troubling that the bullpe...

Re: Pirates April 22 - 28
At this point in his career, Reynolds needs to play everyday. This is not going to happen in Pittsburgh so he has to go back to Indy. He is not a bench piece. Also, Gonzalez is good enough defensively to keep as a spot starter and late defensive replacement IF, Tucker is for real....that still remai...

Re: Is the Pirates starting pitching really that good?
It sucks to think that they realistically SHOULD have 5-6 more wins if not for a struggling pen. I do question Clint’s use of his pen at times, but I think the injury to Crick had something to do with that.

Re: Pirates April 22 - 28
I might flip Kang and Polanco, but I think this looks good for what they have when they are fully healthy. Also, Melky and Moran have made good arguments to see steady at bats, but they’re both major defensive liabilities.

Is the Pirates starting pitching really that good?
The Pirates starting pitching has been downright dominant to start the season....or have they? The ERA and runs allowed numbers certainly support their dominance, but when you look at the competition those numbers have been put up against, it makes you wonder. They’ve had series’ against the lowly...

Pirate Injuries
It should be interesting to see what line-up Clint runs out today against the Giants. The roster is absolutely decimated by injury. It’s hard to believe they own the highest winning percentage in the NL. As long as the starting pitching stays healthy, they will have a chance most nights. I just ...

Re: Pirates April 8 - 14
Clutch hit by Moran with RISP. It may be time for him to get some more consistent at bats...if only his glove wasn’t so awful. Still, Kang has looked really bad at the plate. Disappointed in Kela’s start to the season. I still think he has good stuff and will be ok as the season goes on. Another goo...
