Re: LHAC Expansion?
There appears to be some very bad blood between Forest Hills and the Osborne Street Athletic Club. The OSAC was recently caught cheating in hockey again. The OSAC’s football coach/superintendent may be looking to take his academy independent. If you want to do this stuff, fine. It makes sense, but ...

Re: 2024 Girls state playoffs
NB was down 1 to defending state champs entering the 4th. Heck of a game for them. Berlin, Williamsburg, BG, and Union is a pretty stacked half of the bracket. Assuming the survivor of that will win the A title. NBC was knocking down all the shots too. They were never out of that game. Bravo to tho...

Re: 2024 Boys state playoffs
I'm guessing because Chamebrsburg is good at basketball this year probably affected the availability of the gym. They are still alive in 6A boys and play on Wednesday. My guess is that the team is probably practicing Tuesday night and all of their volunteers will be at their game on Wednesday. I'd ...

Re: 2024 Boys state playoffs
Berlin has to go the whole way to Cumberland Valley in lieu of Chambersburg, to play a 4th seed of D3.

Re: 2024 Girls state playoffs
Good program, but they are a BIG fish in a little pond. They should have accepted the offer to join the LHAC when they had the chance. But are they really? These are the girls numbers for next cycle. Middle of the pack for D5 AA. They would be the smallest public school in LHAC quite a bit. They fi...

Re: 2024 Boys state playoffs
I will agree that this a loophole that needs to be fixed soon and quickly There you go. It really hammers our area hard. We live in a state that doesn’t necessarily reward those who work hard, but those that exploit the system. There’s been so many amazing local teams cut short by this and then are...

Re: Altoona University
It's not recruiting. It's the lack of a border. Allowing for them to do what cannot be done as easily at a border school. Less requirement to physically move. Both of those programs are down from the 2000-2010 era where this would've been a big issue. Non border schools hang out at the extremes. Eit...
