Ferndale opening?
Thought I saw that Ferndale was advertising in the paper for an assistant football coach. You would think that would mean they have a head coach in place. Head coach should be able to pick his assistants. Unless your backwards. Any word on a head man?

Re: McConnellsburg at Shade
It is a meaningless scrimmage at the end of the year. A chance to get teams on the floor to work out ant bugs. You can't say that anyone took it to anyone. Coaches probably stayed in one defense longer than they would have normally stayed in it and worked an offensive set longer than they would have...

Re: UPJ
Bet those guys would be fair if they did do their games, but that would put them in a no win situation. There are a lot of officials for bball from the ct area. Many of them coach a sport at ct I believe. Def. no win for them.

Re: UPJ
The officials for the WestPAC championship games rotate annually between the northern Cambria, steel city and Somerset chapter. The chapter officials choose which officials will be doing the games. CT did play an extremely aggressive style of d last night. The officials called it tight. From what I ...

Re: UPJ
I will take portage girls in the rematch. They can put a lot of athletes on the floor and that will be to their advantage. If their big girl has to sit with foul trouble, advantage shift to Berlin. Going to jump on the ct bandwagon for the boys game. This will be a great game regardless of the outco...

Re: Pick yours
Some great players that you read about regularly. Would be interesting to make league all star teams of seniors at the end of the season and play an all star tourney of 2 games - round 1 then a championship and consy. That could be a gate draw for someone looking for fundraising and a great night of...

Re: Coaches of the Year
Both bv and Ferndale have a great player or players but their weakness appeared to be that they relied heavily upon those great players. There are three players between those two teams that any team in the area would love to have. For some reason, be it lack of full supporting cast, role players or ...

Re: Coaches of the Year
Overall the WestPAC is not strong, but I think the top teams will represent the league well in districts and hopefully beyond. Shade, Shanksville, and ct are strong teams. Wouldn't surprise me to see Rockwood or Berlin do well in the A district playoffs.
