PFN Preseason Rankings

Post by BisonLine74 »

I know rankings don't mean anything and are only meant to start arguments....but I thought the A and AA rankings were interesting.

I also didn't know that they had changed North Catholic to Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School in light of the new facility in Cranberry Township.

They didn't change it. That's what it has been for quite a few years. Everyone just shortens it to north catholic.

They must of just edited because it says Portage is D6 now and TM is D5. Still says Southern Columbia is AA. That could really help D6 A in the playoffs if it's true. A lot of our better teams have lost against them.

It's under new management, Tom and Rich weren't local biased, but they at least recognized local talent when it's here. I'm afraid we're back to the accolades going to the4 major hubs (Erie , Pittsburgh , Philly , and Harrisburg)

I'm with Eagle, not a fan of the new site. The rankings aren't thought out, incorrect districts and appears to be the editors opinion. Even the data that they have posted doesn't make sense to me
The preseason all state team for example. It is littered with BG players, but are they ranked, nope HM Meanwhile a ranking for Berlin, come on
Guess you only get credit in 12,11,7,4 and 3 as well. I often think, why do they rank 3 teams from the same district in the top 10, guess what no matter what district your only sending one to the state playoff bracket.

Yes, they are. A few powerhouses went up to AA, including them, Dunmore, and Sto-Rox. Here is the link below, if you guys are interested.
