River fishing

Anyone fishing the rivers for smallmouths this year ? If so how did you do.

Little J near the broken bridge and soccer field in Hollidaysburg. I had to have 100 fish in 3 weeks. I went every other night at 5-7. Wacky rig is what i found for smallmouths . Rapla for pickerel!

Wacky rig , that is 90% how I fish the river. I use 5" Yum Dingers and hook them in the middle also. Unbelievable how the smallies hit them and hold on to them with that stuff they put in them. I've read where they don't understand why the fish are so attracted to them because they don't resemble anything. Soon time to start wading !!!
