How'd your season go so far? What's everyone seeing? I myself have seen more young buck this year than any other. In one relatively small area I've seen at least 7 different non-shooters. Next year looking promising.

Saw over 50 the entire archery season combined, nothing close enough to shoot. Saw 34 the first 2 days nothing legal(7 buck)... And all but 2 within 25 yds lol go figure. Seen nothing since.

The antler restrictions and screwed up herd have adjusted what I'll pass on any more. Basically, if it's over 40 lbs and legal, it's done. I'm a freezer filler not a wall filler.

I agree Eaglealum...I'm a freezer filler also. I harvested a doe Tuesday. I didn't have the greatest shot at the six point and it was right before dark....didn't want to force the shot.

There is always muzzleloader season!

Ah smokepoles! Used to have a blast after Xmas (CHRISTmas) for our lib friends. But with the herd down and the does are already bred by then. I didn't wanna put any more stress on them than winter will. So I gave up smokepoles season

Coming up from NC for Christmas to hopefully see a normal size deer (anything over 90 lbs). Was thinking about hunting with the old ball and flint, all ya'll seen anything worth lugging a 15 lb gun thru the woods for?

Should be plenty, half the ones I saw harvested "looked bigger in the scope". Should be mostly full sized ones left

Kid up in Fredericksburg got a 16 point other day. John Frederick the name and is 13. Nutz how these young bucks killing the biggies. 160 lbs of fresh meat at that house hold. A lot of irony with the "Frederick's."
