Pirates vs. White Sox May 8-9

Tuesday - 8:10 p.m. - Ivan Nova (2-2 4.01) vs. Lucas Giolito (1-4 7.03)
Wednesday - 2:10 p.m. - Trevor Williams (4-2) vs. Reynaldo Lopez (0-2 2.43)
Bucs head to Chicago to play the Sox. White Sox have a 9-23 record, a two game sweep here should be the goal. This team isn't very good.

.333 batting average (4th in NL)
43 hits (3rd in NL)
11 Doubles (4th in NL)
26 RBI (5th in NL)
14 strikeouts (2nd fewest among qualified batters in the NL)
1.7 WAR (3rd in the NL)
If the season ended today, have to think he'd get an MVP vote or two.

Definitely can't complain about him thus far

Thankfully there are a few teams with even worse GMs than Pittsburgh. Actually there are too many. The only excitement left in the AL is who wins the East and who claims the second Wild Card.

Dickerson is just a different player than expected, I figured he'd have 9-10 homers by now with a .260-ish average. But he's been more average than power, and has been surprisingly good defensively. Always hard out of the box too, has turned some singles into doubles.

Good come from behind win today for the Pirates. Been impressed with Colin Moran, having a nice season as a rookie.

He's under team control next season.
