Good list.  A couple comments.

I am wanting to see The Shape of Water and Disaster Artist.  Based on what I understand, The Shape of Water may take away a lot of awards as well.  I am really, really wanting to see Last Flag Flying, but even though it was filmed in Pgh, it is not being shown anywhere around here.
I saw Lady Bird and Dunkirk.  I was not a fan of Lady Bird, but it is being critically acclaimed and is getting good user reviews on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes - so its just me I guess.  I really enjoyed Dunkirk, although it lacked a lot of good dialogue.  It is an absolute epic though.  I also saw and enjoyed Wind River.
My favorite film of the year - by far - is Three Billboards (not on your list - curious if you've seen it).  It was funny and yet very thoughtful and powerful.  It is also being critically acclaimed and is pretty popular with user reviews.  I think it may push The shape of water for Best Picture (assuming they are nominated).  Although I have not seen it, I hear Get Out is very good.

Get out was a sleeper fantastic. Had 0 expectations for it and quite simply it was amazing. Lady bird is definitely a mixed bag movie, you either love it or just kinda like it (just like la la land last year).

I want to see 3 billboards, its one i missing so far, but dont see myself getting the chance before the new year.

My christmas recommendations

1. Action - The Last Jedi or Jumanji

2. Family - Coco or wonder

3. Comedy - The disaster artist (especially if you know of the room)

4. Awards contender - Shape of Water
