Konjo's Top 10 Movies to be excited about in 2018

1. Avengers Infinity War - Finally the story line that has been teased since the first Avengers movie is going to be played out. All the character and action that has had the world glued to this studios work for over 10 years will now see the ultimate build up happen. Plus anything that features the Guardians of the Galaxy will be near the top of my list anyways!
2. 2017 Cloverfield - After 12 Cloverfield Lane I have high expectations for this series. I know almost nothing about this movie but that just makes me even more excited because I knew so little before going into the previous movie in this franchise.
3. Ready Player One - This best selling book is finally being adapted to the big screen and after the last trailer it has my eyes glued to it. The special effects look stunning, music on point and has an all time best director at the head, Stephen Spielberg. I can not wait to see what the Oasis has in store for all of us!
4. Deadpool 2 - Simply put Deadpool was almost perfect. A brutal action comedy that stunned us all with great writing and a unique feel to what has become an almost stale comic book environment we've become accustomed to seeing. Now Deadpool 2 has higher expectations, higher budget, and is on almost everyone's radar. But after the Bob Ross Esq trailer I have supreme faith this movie will deliver on every level.
5. Annihilation - This movie looks to be a beautiful action thriller by director Alex Garland, director of Ex Machina (such a great movie). Featuring a strong cast lead by Natalie Portman in a year of sequels and franchises this original movie should give you a break and enjoy something different.
6. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald - I love the Harry Potter universe! After the first Fantastic Beasts movie I was so happy being back in it all together. The intriguing backstory of Grindewald and young Dumbledore really peaks my interest for this movie.
7. Incredible's 2 - The long wanted sequel to one of my favorite fun Pixar movies is finally here. I can not wait too see how this movie shapes up and all the fun we will have with the Supers. Plus I mean how is it going to fit in with the Pixar Theory!!!!!!
8. The Post - While this is technically out for limited release right now for award reasons it comes out publicly in January and I am excited to see performances from some of my favorite actors of all time. There is a lot of positive buzz about this movie so far so I can't wait to see it myself soon.
9. Solo: A Star Wars Story - With all the drama and bad press around this movie it definitely has fallen lower on this list. Still I am interested to see if we get a good, unneeded, origin story that is less about the empire and more about a smugglers life.
10. A Wrinkle In Time: One of my favorite books as a kid, I am excited to see all the effort Disney is putting in to make this movie feel like a classic. The kid actors make me a bit worried but the solid adult cast around them coupled with a top effect studio should make this a special movie for all.
