My personal thoughts on the school districts chosen for coverage is this........."I want to be able to show as many local students/athletes as possible!" All of the students/athletes who put their extra time and effort into playing deserve to get a chance to be on television. Sure it would be easy to just cover the winning teams each season but then I would only be doing a show from the same schools each year. Please let me know what yenz think about this. Do you only want to see the winning schools each season? With the wide coverage area that WHVL transmits too wouldn't you rather see coverage of the smaller school districts along with the larger ones?

I think it's sacrilege ( note the religious use of the word sacrilege) that Bishop McCort is not on this list. It's the least you could do to help defray the costs incurred for all that commercial tv and newspaper advertising they do. Oh- and to help give a quality religious and educational upbringing for all those unfortunate wayward youth.
It ain't over until it's over.

I'd watch the games, but WHVL isn't available on the Johnstown-Altoona-State College local package on DirecTV.

We have been working on getting Direct TV and Dish Network to carry WHVL. Until that happens we plan on streaming the games from our website in the fall. The more support we get from the local community the better our chance of getting these companies to carry us! Right now we are producing a local racing show, called "Pit Pass", that you can view on our website. Hopefully by this fall we will have an FTP site up and running to allow for better quality video to be viewed.

I've been reading the posts concerning the private schools in the area. This season I have not scheduled coverage of any of these local teams but in the future I might! Should I exclude these students because they recruit from local school districts? These student/athletes are local kids from the communities of Central Pennsylvania. As I stated in an earlier post I want to allow all student/athletes the chance to see themselves on television. Let me know your thoughts?

Stop and say hello to the WHVL production team this Friday at Tiger Stadium in Hollidaysburg. Then watch the following Wednesday at 6PM for the replay of the Hollidaysburg vs Altoona match up.
