If the WPIAL champ tried, they could win this thing by 100.

Where will the game be played? Somerset HS, or a WPIAL site?

Not that it will matter...

Same crap every year on here! Let's face it district 5 A draws the state champ first round many years. Quite frankly district 6 A can thank their lucky stars they don't get this draw or it would be one and done for them too!

They'd put up much more of a fight though. Look at 2009 for example. McCort lost to Clairton 15-3, in a game that was closer than that and that the Crushers easily could have won if not for penalties and turnovers. Conemaugh Township got blasted 46-0.

First off they are both losses Jack and you know it. Doesn't really matter in the end a loss is a loss! Care to guess how bad McCort would lose by this year? Let's face facts the only reason this thread gets started is to try and demoralize little district 5, thats it. Also seems to me a few years back North Star had the number one ranked team in the state beaten if not for two late scores, but that was a loss too.

I agree its not a fair shot, more often than not D6 is not faring much better than D5. McCort would lose by 50 if they played Clairton, as would any A or AA team from D5/6.

A loss is a loss? Come on, give credit where credit is due. This Clairton run is going to stretch to 59 this weekend, which would be the longest winning streak EVER in Pennsylvania. They are going through the best run in small school football history in the state, and McCort was one of the closest games they have had during that run. Hate McCort or not, they put up a good fight against a juggernaut. Yeah they lost, but they didn't get killed. Which about 50 of those 59 have been beat downs.

Not saying they wouldn't shred McCort this year, because they would. Just used 2009 as an example as to where D6 would put up a better, at least in most years. Like Crimson said Clairton is on some kind of a run right now. But that 2009 game with McCort is one of only about 5 or 6 during this stretch that there was actually a chance they might lose.
