Their school board meeting is tonight. If anyone knows how the board votes please post it here. I have seen a post on Facebook and I know there are strong opinions both ways on this.

I'm pretty sure it's a done deal.

I was told on Twitter that this was tabled until February.

Tabled? They been coveting and applying to every league in the region for years and word on the street was that they coveted the LHAC more than any. So they get invited and they "table it?"

My guess as to why it was tabled is that Bishop Carroll appears before the PIAA Board of Directors during their meeting tomorrow to appeal the LHAC's decision to expel them from the conference.

From my understanding, some Chestnut Ridge people don't want to go. It helps their football program but some think it may not help their other sports.  We'll see.

Crimson - You are correct.  A public meeting has been scheduled for February 21st.

They would be smart to carefully weigh their options at this point.  It is a questionable move for football from a competitive standpoint and a very bad move for virtually every other sport.

The wrestling team at CR will be very competitive and I think every other sport will be some what competitive with the exception of basketball

I can understand that it may not be the best thing for every sport, but they will still be playing teams that for the most part are similar size to them, excluding Johnstown.  The competition will be better, and some people are afraid of that.
