Portage would have to beat a really good NBC team. You never know how that would go and they lost to HC in overtime so why couldn't they make the finals if they don't play BG before then?

It means at least one more week of action for United as well.  “We’re going into the playoffs,” Marabito said.

Zamboni should have gone away a long long time ago.  BV program is a joke and can't even use the excuse that BC stole their kids.

At the state level...
The D5 champ must play the D10 champ, then the D9 champ as a region.  D6 goes straight to the final four.  If Portage won D5, and lost in the next round....it is equivalent to being in the D6 semifinals. 
Portage doesn't need to win Districts to have my respect.  They are one of the best, most consistent, well coached public schools in the area.  They don't need to have District titles for me or most football people to recognize that.  Is it nice to win them...yeah.  At the state level though, the D6 quarterfinalists are in the final 32.  The D6 semifinalists are in the final 16.  The D6 finalists are in the final 8.  The D6 champ is in the final 4.
