Football game band songs

Maybe it's just where I attend games, but do bands not play "The Final Countdown" anymore? And maybe I'm just old and wanting to relive the glory days, but I miss some of those classic football band songs we used to hear "back in the day".  I can't think of the names to some of the other classics...

I'm pretty sure MU still does Final Countdown. Also can't forget the classic Rock n Roll Part 2.

Conemaugh Valley (0-10) and Blairsville (2-8) play it.

At first I thought, band songs - really?  But it got me thinking and this can be fun.  Back in the day, Laurel Valley used to always play "The Horse".  I rock instrumental from the 60's.  It was pretty cool.  On another band note, was the LV band at the LV-WS game Friday?  If not, why not?  If it was a scheduling conflict, it's not like an LV playoff game was unexpected.  I don't know.

The PIAA has weird rules for playoff games regarding bands, especially on neutral fields. For example, neither band can play the National Anthem on the field before the game. Usually ONE band plays the Anthem from the stands. Wouldn't want one team to have a psychological advantage over the other.

Dude, that (The Horse) is the exact song I was looking for.

Hearing that instantly takes me back to the 1992 LV / United Appalachian Bowl at the Point Stadium. Thanks for the memory.
I didn't see LV band Friday. I wondered why too.

How about when you play Meyersdale...Tomahawk Chop. It's supposed to be for them but I think it gets both sides amped up

“The Horse” is a classic. I hear Zombie Nation quite a bit also nowadays. They are both pretty good band songs
