Instead of arguing the top conference, I'm going to throw my overall rankings out there.  As with NCAA rankings, you know they can change at any time.   I'm basing these simply on what I think/see.  See, Claysburg beat Juniata Valley, Juanita Valley beat Northern Bedford, Mt Union beat Juanita Valley, Northern Bedford beat CK and Mt. Union.  Portage beat Ferndale, Ferndale beat Portage.  So, I'm just ranking based on who I think is where.  Mount Union if healthy would be much higher on this list by the way.  Prior to week 7, they would have been a top 5 team.  Southern Huntingdon also took a big hit when they lost their running back and a linebacker late in the season.  Purchase Line lost Syster.  Teams lost guys, so I based the rankings off who is healthy right now too.  Ferndale and Juniata Valley are the teams who would have trended up based on last week's results.  I think they teams 4-13 could really shuffle on a week to week basis.  I thought NC and Portage would still be playing which would have JV and Fern further down the list.

How about altering year cross-over games.? The top 10 from each play.. ICC vs Heritage..Wpac vs ICC..etc. Every third year that your conference is not in the cross-over, then go to a inter conference Championship.

I love the list and the idea it shows! I think HC is too high. Move them from 2 to 4 and id be happy with it all around

I think that HC is getting the high rating based on their defeat of Berlin last year +Portage this year.

An objective way to do this (if anybody wants to take the time) would be to check the current (or at the end of the year - which would allow for more data points) Maxpreps PA rankings for all of the teams in the three conferences.  Then, for each conference compute an average ranking for that conference.  I am guessing that if you did that, the Heritage would be #1, then the ICC, and then the Westpac.  As an added exercise, find the PIAA enrollment for each team in each of the conferences.  Again, compute an average enrollment.  I would think that the three conference would rank in average enrollment as follows:  Heritage, then ICC, then Westpac.  My point is that the three conferences are probably pretty close on a "per student" basis if you will.  I think it would be an interesting exercise though.
