Bishop Carroll Joins Mountain League as 2A School
As seen in a press release today BC has joined the Mountain League (Football only) as a 2A school.
Makes you wonder if BC would have played as 2A in LHC would they have kept them?

Interesting, I think the LHAC didn't totally think it through when they kicked them out. Hence why they let them back in the league for all other sports.
The whole move was done behind BC's back, so maybe had they been transparent with them and said this is what they wanted, it could have been resolved.

Bald Eagle Area, Bishop Carroll, Bellefonte Area, Central, Clearfield,
Huntingdon, Penns Valley, Philipsburg-Osceola, and Tyrone
Just add Saint Joseph and get 10!

I hope they don't go to 10. I really like having the open dates in the schedule to play out of conference teams that you don't get to see every year. Enjoy playing Hollidaysburg, Ridge, Fort Hill, Ligonier, etc. Even the 3 hour trip to York was a neat 1 year experience for the kids. Oh well glad to see BC at least bumped up to AA, now Penns Valley won't be the lone AA squad.
You play to win the game!!!

If you get to 10 schools in the Mtn League, you'd still be able to schedule an out of conference game. The problem becomes the differing sizes in schools in the league (2A, 3A, & 4A).

Carroll was once a powerhouse. Perhaps not playing in the LHAC will bring some interest back at the school? At the very least this should peak some interest because the bottom of the MAC has been real bad. I think they made a wise move.SwaggyJ23 wrote:Another automatic win for teams
I'm glad there isn't 10 either. Unless they split it again, Mountain and Nittany and still allow teams to have a few open dates.
I would actually like to see them let Hollidaysburg in too, and have the 2 divisions

Sounds like a 10th team could be in play and it's not Hollidaysburg.
