Bellefonte (D6) 10-2 vs Selinsgrove (D4) 10-2

While the A, AA & AAA teams in D6 continue district play this week the AAAA champs, Bellefonte, begin inter-districts. While QB Dylan Deitrich leads a high scoring Red Raiders ground attack the Seals of Selinsgrove have a QB lighting up the scoreboard as well but with his arm rather than his feet. Senior QB Logan Leiby has thrown for 3,197 yards while completing 66% of his passes for 35 TDs and 13 INTs. Leiby has also rushed for 290 yards and 4 TDs. The Seals average 271 ypg through the air and 125 ypg on the ground while averaging 31.8 ppg. The Seals leading rusher is junior Joe Kahn with 948 yards and 11 TDs. Leiby has several options to throw to with 5 guys with 22+ receptions but his favorite target is Jarrett Inch who leads the team with 65 rec. for 1062 yards and 13 TDs. The Seals 2 losses have come at the hands of powerhouse Southern Columbia (49-28) and Shikellamy (28-26). They avenged the loss to Shikellamy last week beating them 34-0. Deitrich continues to pile up the numbers for Bellefonte and heads into this weekend with 1210 yards passing and 11 TDs to go along with an impressive 1601 yards rushing and 25 TDs after picking up 160 yards on the ground and 4 TDs in the D6-AAAA championship game last week vs Johnstown. Big question mark for the Red Raiders this week is the health of all conference RB Dexter Gallishaw after being carried off the field with a lower leg injury this past weekend. Gallishaw is also Bellefonte's sack leader which could be a factor against a team that likes to pass as much as the Seals do. The Red Raiders 2 losses came at the hands of Huntingdon (52-31) and Chestnut Ridge (41-21). Two teams that are still playing November football.
